[IMPLEMENTED] The Mirror in Environments

Here's an idea:  [ ... ] get the programming team to add a toggle in Settings to be able to turn OFF the mirror.   Then sit back and watch all the 'THANK YOU's roll in to Meta......   I've not read of ANYONE who likes the mirror.

I absolutely agree. And it's not just me being nitpicky either.

I often show off VR to my guests. People USED to be in awe when putting on the Quest and finding themselves immersed in a beautiful environment.

Nowadays, the first thing EVERYONE comments on is the weird mirror. And not in a good way.

I loved the various environments and got excited with new spaces to relax and enjoy. it TRULY felt immersive and an escape from real world.  The interior design was on-point.  WHAT THE HELL were you thinking when you put a hideous avatar mirror in my space?. if you hoped that it would encourage us to explore and use avatars, you are so mistaken.  This makes me want avatars less, having it shoved in my face.  I do not want to see this in my solitude in my VR home. I used to love showing new users the environments as an introduction to VR.  Its to embarrassing, having to make excuses for this eyesore.  i am furious and cant understand your thinking. Please give us the option of turning this awful thing off!

I came here to post about the mirrors, but here is already a thread so for now I'll add my dissatisfaction here.  I might have worded my post more diplomatically, but the original poster does get the idea across.  It's a redundant feature as you can edit your avatar elsewhere.  The mirrors are simply eyesores.  I no longer have an unobstructed view of space from the space station or peaceful views in other spaces.  

If someone is determined to have the mirror as a feature, why not make it possible to disable it for those of us that don't want or need a mirror in the way.  Thanks!

I know this suggestion is already on here, but I'd like to have one that isn't rude and unkind.

It would be amazing if you guys found a way to have the avatar mirror in environments optional. I know it's gonna be there, but it freaks me out everytime, lol.

Completely agree it is a blight on otherwise beautiful environments. Every time I am sitting enjoying one of the environments and see the mirror and avatar, I'm immediately taken out of the experience and feel angry. I truly hate the mirror. And yes, the drooping awkward arms are also terrible. I never got to see it with the faded grey hands but it sounds much better.

Please give us a way to turn off the Avatar Mirror.  It can’t be that hard.  I don’t use my favourite home environments any more because it is so distraction!  Why can’t the avatar set up exist in the preferences menu instead of a home environment. It would make more sense there.

Hate the avatar mirror, loved the calm environment now im avoiding it . update and remove or make a simple toggle to turn off!
