Here's an idea:  [ ... ] get the programming team to add a toggle in Settings to be able to turn OFF the mirror.   Then sit back and watch all the 'THANK YOU's roll in to Meta......   I've not read of ANYONE who likes the mirror.

Starting today, you can now go into Settings > Interactive Objects > Personalization and disable the Avatar Mirror in the home environment.

Ryan,   it is 1:15 pm Pacific Time.   I just got off my Quest 2 and closed.   I started and RE started.    NONE of what you said is correct on my system!    You have merged all of the links and marked this as completed.  I appreciate your confidence, but something is clearly wrong!     When I click on SETTINGS, there are 16 boxes that come up as options.  NONE of those are Interactive Objects.  So immediately, something is wrong.   One of them IS Personalization.    But when I click on it, I get three choices on the left side, Virtual D, Display Theme and Text Size.   NOTHING about Interactive Objects of the mirror.  Could it be that you have v 57?   Or could it be that you meant by the END of today?    I am still at v 56 and when I go to Settings > System > Updates,  I show NO updates available.  Yet I've read about others who say they DO have v 57.    Please can you double-check all of this?   Your system may have a turn-off toggle now, but mine does not.

Hey @Rikolus-Utah, yes it's in v57 which should be rolling out to all Quest 2 and Quest Pro headsets today. The rollout started last week but should be hitting 100% today. If you don't have it yet, just check back a little later and you should see the update available.

THANK YOU SWEET JEEBUS OF VR omg

I am so happy with my oculus q2 again now that the mirror can  be removed. The simple things in life...

I cannot tell you how much I hated being forced to see that avatar (not me, myself - I love me - but that avatar was just awful when it was permanently in my ski lodge).

THANK YOU

Thank you very much for listening to us Meta. The community is very happy!

If only you could remove now the avatar arms and return to ghost hands, it would be amazing ❤️
