I have owned my Quest 2 for a little over a year and it already experiences severe stick drift! I will say that I have not been aggressively using it as in most games, I use the outer edge option for auto sprinting in games instead of the usual click down on stick to activate run mode method. I even clean my controllers and wash my hands before playing to avoid too much gunk getting on the controllers…so I think I’ve taken good enough caution and yet they still managed to have drift! I’ve owned and played my Xbox as well as older consoles for SEVERAL years and not once have I experienced drift! And with those controllers, I am more abusive with the joystick clicking…so this just tells me that the Q2 drift problem is a quality control issue that definitely needs improvement on! I am not the only one that has experienced this as I’ve had at least 5-10 other VR friends experiencing the same thing as me within a year or under a years time! I hope the Q3 improves on this stick drift especially! Consumers shouldn’t have to keep sending their controllers to Meta to fix on a YEARLY bases…with the money we spend on these headsets, they should at least be good enough quality to last us a few years…especially when the price of replacement is high!

Hey there!! I've had controller drift before and it was definitely not fun. While I haven't personally had drift issues with my Quest 2, I have seen other users bring this up before. Luckily the support team is here to help!

There are a few troubleshooting options for stick drift (as seen in this post), but you can also always reach out to the support team so they can look into your warranty options. If you're having troubles with drift, I highly recommend shooting a PM to @MetaQuestSupport, so the team can get you back into the world of VR in no time!
