In Horizon Worlds, music plays a crucial role in creating immersive and engaging environments. However, there’s a prevalent issue of unauthorized music being played, which not only undermines artists’ rights but also poses legal challenges for the platform and its users. To address this and enhance the overall experience, I propose the integration of a feature that allows users to play authorized music in the background during their sessions.
This could be achieved through partnerships with music licensing entities or by creating a library of pre-licensed, royalty-free music that creators and avatars can use safely. This approach would not only ensure that artists are fairly compensated but would also allow users to personalize their experience without legal risks. Additionally, implementing an easy-to-use interface for music selection and clear guidelines on music usage can foster a more responsible community engagement with music while enriching the virtual experiences on Horizon Worlds.
