Status: New Idea

I honestly can't believe you guys suggest to everyone who complains on the Meta Community Forums about this stupidly overlooked flaw that they should come here to post the fix as an "idea."  A "Suggestion."  "Maybe enough people will like it and we'll consider implementing it."  There is zero reason to not allow someone using the Oculus app to delete a synced photo from the gallery.  I had no idea that when I deleted them from my headset that I had to take that exact moment to delete the synced file as well.  If you miss that opportunity you won't get it back.  I select a photo in the gallery and the ONLY option I'm given is to "Download" it.  Does that delete it?  No.  Is there a trash can icon or a Delete option?  No.  Just download.  And I can download it 50 times yet it still remains on the app.  The dumbest thing I've seen.  And Googling for a solution shows so many people having the same problem, and getting that absurdly condescending answer from you to come here to suggest that.  Are all you just low-level hourly employees who can't think?  Rise above that.  Go to your manager.  Tell them this should be fixed now.  You'll get a good bonus.  Hopefully.

Hopefully, Oculus will address this issue in future updates to make the user experience smoother and more intuitive.

The lack of a straightforward delete option is indeed a flaw that many users have pointed out. It's frustrating to have to go through such a convoluted process just to remove a picture.

While I can't directly fix this for you, I do agree with your sentiment. If you're still looking for a solution, you might want to check out this helpful guide on where do hidden photos go on iphone. It might offer some insights on managing your photos in the meantime.
