Let us cast from a child’s account.

Hi there Metaquest. Please can you find a way to allow casting from a childs account? We have bought the Metaquest 3 specifically for my 10 year old child, so he is the primary user, in fact the only user. I’ve set him up with a childs account so that he remains safe and can only access content appropriate to his age. But we can’t see what he is playing, which in my opinion is a safety concern as we can’t identify whether the content is appropriate for him. It’s also not helpful as he asks us questions about what he is playing and we can’t help or give him suggestions. Please, please, please can you find a way to allow casting from a childs account? Yep. My mistake was making a child account. Pretty much have to give the child an adult account.

Parents buying these devices for their kids, and then using casting to help with or monitor their activity, seems like a pretty core use case. It's certainly what we intended when we purchased the Quest 3.

Very important to get this feature available.

Told me off for allowing my child to use my own account. Now I can’t monitor them through casting nor help when they’re stuck on a game. Absolutely ridiculous thinking I can’t monitor my own child and now you have taken away my ability to see what they’re doing! My child is always in a room I am in when using the quest and I used to also watch them using the cast feature. Now I can not do this! I can monitor my child better than your silly algorithms. A human monitor is better than an algorithm. Please fix ASAP for children’s safety!

Seriously I’m shocked this isn’t possible? Meta makes a huge deal about kids having their own kids account for security reasons, but then won’t let you cast their activity so *I* can monitor the security of what they’re doing? There is no reason for this not to be a feature. We just activated our new quest yesterday and I’m considering sending it back since I’m not going to feel totally comfortable with my kids on it unsupervised. please roll this out ASAP!

Terrible that we even have to ask for this feature. How is this not an option from quest day 1 especially after launching children's accounts. Not to mention removing chromecast capability recently. Meta is going backwards with this feature. I cannot monitor the content my child is playing which was the main point for creating a child account. There are so many issues with children accounts it's not even worth creating one at this point.
