Would love to see support for Linux on your desktop app. I enjoy utilising PCVR over airlink with the Quest 3, but it breaks me that I need to keep a Windows partition around just for that.
It would be nice if more companies supported Linux but the market isn't there (as far as they are concerned anyway). You might try ALVR, which is being developed and does work on Linux. I'm not sure if you're allowed hyperlinks on here but a quick search ought to find it on GitHub.
ALVR works for relative values thereof. The main problem is that Meta, for all of their USING Linux for everything under the sun, there's no market. Valve shows otherwise. It's a chicken and an egg problem that they excuse their BS with it's hard to support. When I rolled out a game version FOR Linux as one of the 20 some odd HIB #2 developers, I supported 32 and 64 bits for over 30 distributions.
It's bull**bleep** and they know it or are too fixed in their ways to think for a change.
I've been waiting for them to do like they did with the Go and end official support (You KNOW it's coming soon- they're waaay to invested in the Quest3/Pro to keep that going when they don't even make the HW...) and they have the balls they had for the Go and offer up something to let you add it proper to MonadoXR. Faint, vain hope, I'll own, but still...
