Please consider providing Linux support for the Oculus Link. With the increasing number of native Linux builds on SteamVR and the current stability of Steam's wine powered Proton compatability layer for Windows games, the ability to use Oculus Link on Linux has become attractive. At minimum, the production of documentation useful to the Open Source community providing the means for a third party implementation would be greatly appreciated -- beyond the general overview currently provided: https://developer.oculus.com/blog/how-does-oculus-link-work-the-architecture-pipeline-and-aadt-expla... If the official stance from Oculus is to not support Linux, at least give us the opportunity to support ourselves with your help.

Linus is crossing into mainstream, step on the bandwagon! Also consider the fact that native linux support will reduce the reliance on 3rd part alternatives

Providing this kind of support for Linux removes the incentive for the community to reverse engineer/jailbreak things - just sayin' Sony is a prime example with the PS2.

It is really a shame to be the only headset that doesn't have Linux support!

Providing support for an open and inexpensive VR platform that is usable on all PC OSes with Oculus Link is THE killer application. Imagine if the Quest/Quest2 with oculus link had new free/open applications from the free/open source software world that Joe and Jane Average would love. That could open Oculus up to a much larger market share than any other headset. With the current locked down mode, the uses for Oculus are limited to those approved by FB only. That's no way to run a VR company.

Would really love linux support! I don't need Windows for anything but this one use case, and that's not enough to install it.
