It would be nice if I could make the guardian barrier bigger while playing seated games. If Iâm sitting in the middle of a room in a rotating chair Iâm capable of fully extending my arms without hitting anything, but the guardian system is often activated. If I set the guardian to roomscale, then sitting doesnât work well for some games as they now require me to stand and move around more.
I have long arms. Merely existing is angering the guardians. I must bend my joints uncomfortably to not be assaulted by angry red lines while doing anything. If not this, allow us to re-use the last room scale size centered on our current location so we can at least re-use a custom setup.
Recently the stationary gaurdian has gotten bigger on my quest, despite me using it due to my lack of room. Now im constantly hitting things. Thanks oculus...
Even when doing something as simple as watching a movie, the stationary boundary is too small. I should be able to recline a few inches without breaching the guardian. Please make changes that allow for a larger stationary boundary without having to redraw a larger radius each time.
Why did they remove the option to turn off the grid on the stationary guardian??? I think it was called the see through option, it doesnât show the grid when the controller is close, touching or outside the boundary, and when the headset is too close to the boundary instead of showing the annoying grid, it turns on pass through. For me stationary guardian was way better than roomscale because of this option, my room is small so even if I use roomscale the annoying grid shows up. The guardian is a great idea but the boundary grids are too annoying and sensitive it ruins the immersion for vr games. Removing the see through option, in my opinion, is a dumb decision and unnecessary. Seeing the grid in stationary boundary ruined my day and i am actually not going to use the headset until they bring back the option or add an option to just simply remove guardian.
Also because you're placed in the middle of the circle, the stationary boundary seems to assume you can reach behind you. Surely the purpose of stationary is so that you can play sat on a non-moving sofa/chair that has a back?
Agree to this, maybe it should just be a bigger zone.
Maybe add some more options for travelling car/bus/train/flight, dark room mode, sitting and laying down. Room light meter/status for tracking (bad, low, ok, perfect) to adjust If needed. 🙂
