It would be nice if I could make the guardian barrier bigger while playing seated games. If I’m sitting in the middle of a room in a rotating chair I’m capable of fully extending my arms without hitting anything, but the guardian system is often activated. If I set the guardian to roomscale, then sitting doesn’t work well for some games as they now require me to stand and move around more.

Please also add a sitting mode. With Oculus Link you can not play steated games in steam like "Witching Tower", "Twighlight Path", "The Talos Principle" and "Transpose" for example. It is not possible to play it on a chair. I hate standing for hours. Please try that games and you know what i mean.

The stationary guardian is pretty pointless, they should just allow you to remove it when playing seated games.

Yeah, that circle for seated play is way too narrow. I got long arms.

It's not just long arms that are a problem with the guardian system, small people who prefer sitting also have difficulties. In Pinball FX2 VR if I base the Guardian on "as I sit in the chair" the firing pin is inside my right hip and I can't see the front end of the machine at all. If I set it "as I stand before the chair" then sit, I can see the firing pin but not what's inside the front end of the game at all, because I'm too far away. The same goes for Walkabout Mini Golf. I'm either so low I can't see over the counter when the game starts up, or I can but I often can't see the ball when I start playing because it's -- I don't know where, actually, maybe inside my body, or so close behind me that it's impossible to locate. Same sort of issues occur in other games, where, when I bring up the menu, it's so low on the screen I can't see it except with peripheral vision, and hitting the button to correct the placement of the screen changes nothing. I'm very frustrated with this machine. (Speaking as a first-time user of VR but a long-time user of computers.) One solution might be to make adjusting the positioning within all games possible as soon as you enter. Nudge "screen up" or "screen down" -- or floor height up or down.

Also please think about this problem as applies to folks who are wheelchair bound. It needs fixing. Soon.

Just got quest 2 and was trying to figure out why the diameter is so small! Constantly shows the border. Needs a diameter setting

The circle is way too small for most games when I sit down to play. An option to disable guardian completely when seated would be a welcome addition. For safety, the guardian could automatically reenable if it detects that the user has stood up from their seated position.

I've owned the CV1, Rfit S and now Q2. And have never once use them standing. Total sitting person. The guardian system is useless for sitters.

yes, so what can we do to have tracking, but prevent that he stationary grid pops up all the time. Or more important: that annoying blue circle on the ground, which pops up even ore often that the grid.

In Developer mode we can disable the Guardian. What a relief! But now the passthrough mode is also disabled and that's a bummer because now I can't locate my drink during the movie. So this (developer mode) is not really a perfect solution, but worth trying anyway.
