I wish we had more guardian options, e.g. opacity level, only the line/border on the floor (without the surrounding grid), distance threshold/tolerance settings for grid/border activation and a radius setting for the stationary circle (its a little bit too narrow by default). My play space is big enough to move a few steps in every direction, but when swinging in beat saber or point my arms forward in space pirate Trainer the guardian comes up to eagerly. Thanks for consideration! You guys rock btw 🙂

As a game designer I wish the Guardian wouldn't be limited to 25x25 feet. Expanding the guardian limit would open countless opportunities for the new games.

As a new quest 2 user, this is an absolutely awesome idea, i use my whole play area in house flipper VR and its great but im not moving fast and the grid is always they're obstructing my view, warning me too early - cause its so dense, also if i wanna sit down on my bed - im on the border, so the grid lights up (could we get more colors, less obnoxious thank you) - its annoying cause its blocking youtube videos and my open floating windows around me - cause i make them house size in front of me - literally only cause its awesome ! - on that note, can we please angle floating windows when they're far away too and get more than 4m distance. thank you very much. (i dont bother making a ticket hehe, i hope it gets seen)

To me, the most important part of this uservoice, is the ability to have guardian only show the outline on the floor, without displaying the walls. Coming from the Rift CV1, i miss this option a lot. Please bring this to the Quest and Quest 2

Hate the grid, it really ruins the experience for a lot of games! Should be option to draw on the floor but no have no grid.

It's amazing to me that a suggestion with almost 3000 upvotes from 2019 still has not been implemented yet.

The Quest guardian system is by far the bottom of the barrel of all VR chaperones I've experienced and the most dangerous one. Can't adjust opacity, can't adjust boarder thickness, can't cusomize colors.

No, three different colors don't count ~ it's almost like the devs are doing this out of pure spite. "This is possible but we don't want to give the users the option."

If I had to rate the safety benefit of the Quest guardian it would be 2/10. It will stop you if you try to slowly walk out of the play area, but that's about it. Especially during fast-paced room-scale games with a lot going on, neither of the three available colors is well visible or will get noticed quickly enough. Being able to see a subtle floor boundry and reposition yourself in your room according to the game demands would be an incredible help without hurting the immersion much.

Because you know what really hurts immersion? Slamming your controller into a wall.

And while I understand that destroyed controllers are in the interest of Oculus as a company, I think you should just go with plain old planned obsolescence instead of trying to actively endanger your users.
