Recently I forgot my pattern to access my oculus account on my quest 2 and upon looking at the recovery methods available, factory resetting is the only option in the process completely wiping all data from your headset removing all data including accounts, settings, pictures and videos etc. I think this is very poor consumer experience and there should be some sort of recovery method to remove/change the pattern if forgotten such as using your email like many other services would offer. Also I have seen and been told I can remove my pattern using my pin via an option on the mobile Oculus application, but to access this option you have to connect to your Oculus VR headset which requires you know your pattern?. Please improve upon this.
