Pre-face: I have only used Desktop VR and Quest Link as the apps for having my desktop in VR.
So far most desktop apps like Desktop VR and Quest Link use the current monitor and displays it on the virtual workspace.
BUT I want to make more/ new monitors that I do not have. Like I want to make a 4K monitor that my GPU will push as well and/ or instead of my 2.5k monitor. Sure doing this will affect performance based on what GPU a customer is using, but if they know what they want out of the VR, it is on the customer to get the correct GPU for the load of work they want (same with non-VR games).
I just want a triple monitor set up where I can use 1 monitor for report writing and 2 monitors for image analysis in the VR workspace.
Between Desktop VR and Quest Link, QL is closest with being able to make a separate window for a .exe program. But it can only do so much through an app based window, instead of an actual separate monitor.
I also wanna try using the quest 3 as my main display, with a monitor-less PC.
If Meta could do that with the quest link app I would really appreciate it.
