Remove Mandatory Facebook Login!

Remove Mandatory Facebook login in order to accept friend requests and use the Oculus app. I have never had Facebook nor do i want it. I just want to play vr. I don’t want to have to have facebook to enjoy my 500$ Virtual Reality Headset with my friends.

THIS! 100% this! Why do I need a FB account if Oculus is perfectly capable of creating separate accounts? I do NOT want my Oculus tied to Facebook. They need to remove Facebook from this

Hello all. With the announcement back in 2021 that FB will make it possible to not require a FB account to use the Oculus Quest 2, my question is has anyone heard any updates as to when? My Oculus has been a paper weight since someone hacked and took over my FB account back in Feb. I've been fighting to get access to my account since then and Oculus Support cannot help with FB issues which is irresponsible at best. Oculus and FB support should be one, with different tiers of support so when FBs failing automated system, which it will fail, can forward people to a real person for customer support because we are the customer. I don't understand why FB doesn't have customer support for all the issues we as customers are facing. 

So any update on this matter of not needing FB account for Oculus usage would be greatly appreciated

I can understand why something like VIVE would require this, given they provide a subscription service. Unless Oculus/Facebook Gaming are preparing to do that, however, a mandatory login makes no sense to me.

Apparently you can use titles you've already purchased from your original RIFT S account.... how exactly? Is not clear.
