Removing ability to cast via Chromecast - awful step backwards

Having got a meta 2 recently, we purchased a Chromecast for Christmas with the sole purpose of being able to cast our VR experience to the TV. Hadn’t realised the latest update took this option away. Very disappointed child on Christmas Day as a result.

Can’t fathom the logic of removing functionality. It makes the VR experience less engaging and more isolating. Casting to a phone isn’t great for groups and it seems like a huge backwards step for a technology which is supposed to be the future.

Given the number of similar posts here and numerous ones on Twitter/X, we are by no means alone.

Please can the powers that be take notice of the what your users are saying and roll out an update to reinstate this!
