I think the referral system is great and a fantastic way to spread the word of VR to new users.
From recent experience I find that the Meta store page doesn't provide a clear enough process to successfully complete a referral.
If someone doesn't have a meta account, they click that link and it will just send them to the create account landing page. Once created, it doesn't then prompt the new user to accept the referral it just kind of gets lost in the ether.
The headset links often don't work through the app either, and this seems much more reliable on the desktop website.
How to find the referral credit and how to redeem it seems a little convoluted and I think the whole process could be streamlined somewhat. perhaps removing the need to click redeem in the referral tab.
It is also not made clear that referrals have to be accepted by someone over the age of 18 and could effect a purchase decision of a parent gifting one for their child at Christmas.
