I want to buy more headset so kids can play together. We are huge fans of beat saber, incl music packs. Also multiplayer games like 'Cook Out' best played in multiplayer. But then paying twice for the digital content would be too much.
So I would love to see 'Smart Family Sharing': a special mode where games sharing works when headsets are physically close together, like in the same room.
This would also be great if you have friends coming over, we play a game we own in the family. Then when friends leave buy the game to play at home as well because they loved it.
Like a board game, you play in the family, play with friend, but it does not leave the family. Friends buy the board game if they like it to play at their house.
Technically this could work by detecting headset are on the same WIFI, or use Bluetooth proximity.
I think we can have like 3 conditions :
1. All devices have to be in the same wifi network, just like stream monitor
2. Fb account on host device ( the device that owns the game ) - enables sharing to sub account
3. Host device need to be online
Sub devices do not really own the game but having a "shared library" start the game - all data and contents can be downloaded to sub devices, however main game or anything which needs to start the game stay in the library - it wont be accessible if the host is offline or not in the same network
This will benefit us the family sharing feature, without a risk of group-buy.
