Please add software ipd adjust on top of the hardware solution to improve quality (stereo effect and chromatic aberration) for people that fall in between or slightly out of the 58/63/68mm of the hardware iPd adjustment.
This way we would get a good enough hybrid of quest 1 and rift s in terms of adjustment :)
Sadly there isnât a quest 2 page on here yet, so I hope that this idea still finds a few people that vote on it 🙂
PLEASE ADD THIS PLEASE I CAN PLAY FOR LITERALLY 1 HOUR AND THEN MY EYES ARE MESSED UP FOR THE REST OF THE DAY!!!! MY IPD IS 72 THIS IS A SIMPLE FEATURE AND THE SCREEN ALREADY IS LINEAR. ADD A SLIDER. thats's literally all you have to do... its already built into the quest, we just cant access it unless you push the lenses in specific ways which is hilariously stupid.
We could also have 2 different ipd for each eye. I have 30 and 34 and i'd like to set each eye ipd beacuse whatever the value of ipd i put, the stereoscopic effect confuse my brain too much. I play with just one eye and it's better but there's a slight offset with position tracking
IPD of 74 here. Just ordered OQ2, and hoping by the time it arrives there's a decent software solution as this is my first real plunge into VR and I'd hate to get off to a poor headache inducing start.
everyone here is posting about a higher ipd and here I am, a female with a smaller ipd - since women on avg have a SLIGHTLY smaller ipd usually- with a 53-55mm ipd lmfao..agreed with the eyes being ruined the rest of the day though.
WTF, this should be a no brainer and should have been included when released! This was a downgrade for me just because of the limited ipd settings.
As far as I can tell my ipd is in between 2 and 3. But with the added distortion and eye strain it looks worse than the quest 1...
I have oculus rift S and it is the last Bullshiit ! I have a IPD with 73,5 and I cant see clear and sharp with this **** ! I used it not so often and did pay over 450 euro for it 2 years ago.
Now I saw that Quest 2 has IPD support for 68 ! But this will also not help me.
Why didnt you guys installed also IP 70 an 72 and 74 ?
I have find any infos about the Rift 1 IPD range ? Does it work with IPD 73,5 ???
