Many companies and universities must comply with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act and Section 255 of the Communications Act. For example, if a course instructor would like to use Quest 2 with Horizon Workrooms to teach a virtual class, then their organization will ask whether the hardware and software manufacturer has used the Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT) to document the accessibility features of the technology. The VPAT is an evolving document that is updated over time as new accessibility features are added. One can look at the VPAT for Zoom, which was available at the link below for download at the time that this idea was posted:
I was unable to find a VPAT for the Quest 2 or Horizon Workrooms, but I did see information about new accessibility features posted in unofficial channels (i.e., blogs). If Meta could publish a VPAT for these technologies, that would be very helpful.
