Hi,
According to the Taiwan NCC and the Ministry of Digital Affairs, Wifi 6e products can be submitted for approval and allowed for sale in Taiwan starting from this September. However, there has been a notable lack of updates from Meta regarding this matter. Even as of now, Wifi 6e is still not enabled on Quest 3 devices delivered to Taiwan.
Wifi 6e is essential for PCVR gaming, as far as I know. While there may not be any Wifi 6e routers currently available in Taiwan, it's expected that they will become available in the future. It would be disappointing if Quest 3 or Quest Pro couldn't harness the power of Wifi 6e when that happens.
It would be nice if there were plans to enable the Wifi 6e functionality on Quest 3 and Quest Pro devices in the future for users in Taiwan. If that is the case, would this require purchasing new hardware, or can it be activated through a firmware update?
