As a visually impaired, it's very hard to navigate and read in vr, in oculus software or in games. It would be awesome to have some accessibility features, for example : a simple adjustable zoom with a shortcut that is used, in practice like binoculars, adjusting the zoom level with the thumbstcik. Pretty similar in the idea with the windows magnifier or IOS/Android zoom for example. This will help many people reading text in the oculus software and in games and make some of them playable.

I have the same issues. The ability to increase text size is great, but visual impairment consists of a wide spectrum. Plenty can be taken from existing platforms like android, IOS, windows etc. Zoom and high contrast is great for people like me and OP, who just need a bit more support and text being read out or interface being described is for the really heavy cases. It's especially frustrating when menu's interfaces are at a fixed distance from the user and not at a fixed position in the space. I'm used to getting up close to things for reading, something vr is actually fantastic for. So having interface items move away when I want to get close....is is infuriating and can make a game unplayable.

A universel zoom  feature would be very use full for me as a visually impaired person as well.  Every major computing platform has such accessibility features. For example magnifier app on windows, the zoom functionality on ios for iphones, the tap to zoom option on android and numerous others such as kmeg on Linux. Such support is really important for a certain percentage of the users especially for use cases in education and productivity. As a pioneer of VR Meta/Oculus not having such features is a shame. Help us enjoy the metaverse as well, please don't leave us behind !
