I'm a new investor to the Meta Platform because I believe Quest Pro is a revolutional prototype head towards to the metaverse. But there's a question to the controllers.I think they are doom just like stylus to iPhone or Tablets. And the controllers are unnatural unless you are playing Beat Saber etc.I know the Quest pro already has a good hand traking but it can't predomainate the whole experience. Can we use technic like Lidar to identify gesture to improve our natural experience. This is as important as the emotional identification in the future social media. The body language is essential as our emotion. Who wants a controller?I think this will be the next generation 's who wants a stylus question.

I haven’t made an avatar so my character just shows up as a grey man. I don’t care what the avatar looks like, but I don’t want to have to see the arms or torso! Is there any way to disable the avatar or go back to the original oculus transparent hands?

If all glasses do is warp the way that light hits our eyes to make our vision clearer, then do you think it would be possible to code a VR headset to take a glasses prescription and change the way it presents images to mimic the glasses and clear their vision in the virtual space? That we have glasses prescriptions means that we know how those measurements effect our vision, so why can't we program the headset to make those changes to how it presents images to us? If you combine that with eye tracking and foveated rendering, then it doesn't seem like it should be impossible.

I recommend that partial string search for App Lab games becomes possible in the Meta Quest Store. So if someone searches Boule or Petanque, he will find the game Boule Petanque. That would reduce the urgency for someone to necessarily go to the Meta Quest Store to market their game. Thank you for listening. Best Regards Kai

I know the Netflix app essentially was a pet project of John Carmack and it was really great on GearVR at the time.
Now it looks like a neglected child and need an upgrade to match the wonderful new hardware of the Quest 2.
Please talk to the concerned parties (Netflix?). And John, if you´re seeing this: Blow some magic coding dust its way. Please?
Wishlist by order of priority:
*Update the streams to HD-material - 480p doesn´t look good. (never really did, but now it looks horrendous)
*Update textures in the enviroment (gives us more enviroments?), Passthrough as background?
*Ability to watch together with a friend or two.
*Ability to download videos to the device.
*Give some love to Void Theatre and let us choose backdrops, color schemes or even passthrough + some more control on curvature of the screen.
*Maybe integrate it as an Oculus-TV-app?

Oculus link is a total mess right now. It isn’t too well optimized, the social aspect is absolutely terrible. You cannot accept or decline friend or follow requests. You have to go back to the oculus quest platform and then accept. Only then can you go back to link. Right now the rift platform needs a new design or new look as right now it looks bad. Meta needs to update oculus link to be up to par with the quest ui. It looks much better, and is easier to use. Please, we need a big update for oculus link. Right now it is the most annoying thing to use. It is hard to use in some aspects, and it just isn’t what it should be.

It would be nice to be able to toggle Passthrough on-demand like you can with the Rift S to be able to quickly see the world around you without having to pull the headset off of your face.

what I would like.... well what everybody would like is full finger tracking. I figure the solution would be simple! just add 2 more middle finger trackers to the controller it would be cheap and it would work! here's a picture: I know it looks wonky but this is only to show

Several other platforms like Steam, PlayStation, etc. offer family sharing for multiple users in the same household. The same game canât be played at the same time across multiple accounts or devices, but can be shared within a household in the same way that physical media works.

Our household and family have multiple headsets. We want to personalize/customize our headsets, particularly name the headset. With all the brains that are behind this system, surely someone can figure this out.

The new update is terrible. Firstly, the new avatar arms look terrible and are so visually distracting that it's taken away from the experience. Secondly, not sure if I am the only one having this issue but when i'm using my quest in bed to browse the internet or just on the home screen it has a glitch where it looks like my hands are under the virtual environment. I would like to suggest if possible to have more freedom moving the dock down in home screen when in bed. No issues when i'm sitting on a coach as I can move the bar to 'floor level' but when im in bed it seems like there's a table between me and the virtual environment. It feels as if im 'sunken' into the floor it seems very very unnatural. Anyways, I hope you guys fix these bugs and issues in the next update bcos I really used to enjoy my user experience with the Quest 2 but with this new update it's a little bit janky and it doesn't feel natural. Thanks

What a horrendous marketing move.
You're basically telling everyone who bought the Quest 2 to go f- themselves. Too bad if you're an early adopter.
In addition, most of us who bought the Q2 can still refund it and get a new one cheaper, and with a free game.

Your recent demand that all social users engage through Facebook is a bad decidion. I will not allow my children to be exposed thru Facebook so you can make a few pennies in marketing kickbacks. We will never participate in an Oculus social media again and I will actively campaign online against you from this point on.
