I would like to name my sensors so that when an issue is reported I don't have to play the randomly unplug sensors game to find out which one is having an issue.

I like playing social games, but I live in a household where I might, at any time, have to immediately take my HMD off and talk to family members, without the time to go into the menu and disable my microphone.
So, is there a setting somewhere that my open mic is disabled when I take off the headset? I can't think of any reason why I would want it left on open mic after I take my HMD off in the headset, so a setting like that would be excellent.

A recent update for the Oculus software has left my device effectively bricked due to AMD not releasing Windows 8.1 drivers that are new enough for the Oculus app to consider updated. I'm presently being told by Oculus support that my only option is to buy Windows 10 or a new graphics card, and that Oculus doesn't have the ability or intention to make my headset functional again. There should be an option to roll back software as a last resort in these kinds of cases that can allow Rift owners to use their device as they did before an update that can increase the minimum requirements to even use the device.

Even though you can draw guardian boundary really slowly to make it look better, it still isn't perfect. Having a tool to make adjustmens to it would be really great, our boundaries would look a lot cleaner.
Yes, we do have an app called Guardian Boundary Editor, but it doesn't work for everyone, especially for Rift S users. Native support for this would be appreciated.

Many times when a game updates, it can break a lot of things. On some platforms, we have the option to downgrade to previous versions. On Oculus Home, we are unable to.
For Example, Beat Saber's Multiplayer Mod was broken in V 13.0, but works in V12.2. On Steam, we could simply revert via the properties page, but on Oculus Home, we're stuck with the version that doesn't work.

Option to disable/enable input devices like the xbox controller from the devices menu
When you launch a non-vr game on a pc the Oculus still accepts input from the xbox controller that you want to use on a desktop app.
Add the option to disable the xbox controller inside the oculus app.

I think the current way of calibrating the floor level is a remnant of the pre-Touch days, and I still frequently see discussions about the floor level being wrong. I mean, even if I know how tall I am, all it takes for it to be off is for me to be slouching somewhat during the calibration.
I believe putting a Touch controller front-first on the floor during the calibration would be a better approach, as the distance between the floor and the IR rings on the controllers can be accurately measured and will be the same every time for every user.

As per the title. This nag screen actually uses UI space in the new dash UI sometimes covering objects.

Every time an oculus update comes out I have to clean up room on my SSD to be able to install. What sucks is that the oculus program itself is taking up the most room on my drive, with the home data package being overwhelmingly the largest chunk of data (and it keeps getting larger with each update).
It would be great to install the home data (and tutorials) to a custom location, as is done with the games, it would make updates much less of a headache.

When you experience a loss in internet connection or any kind of interpretation; all download progress is lost. This can be very frustrating when downloading large games, like Asgards Wrath. I suggest that download progress gets saved and can continued when the connection is restored, or the interruption resolved. Steam is a good example of how this idea is implemented.

The oculus setup issues warnings when you place your sensors in something other than what's suggested in the setup process. Tracking problems can arise and cause issues when people don't realize that these warnings can be ignored and sensors can be placed in more ideal locations like up high and in the corners of their rooms.
I've seen many people run into these issues especially when configuring for roomscale tracking. It would be nice if the setup offered more than one suggestion or made it clearer that the suggested sensor placement isn't necessary. Here's just one example of a user that fixed his tracking issues after ignoring the setup process: https://www.reddit.com/r/oculus/comments/7pftbn/thinking_about_a_4th_sensor_purely_for_touch/

I have had the oculus rift s for almost a year now, it has no issues until the latest update which has now bricked the headset. I can no longer get past the setup as the senor check always goes to "Sensors Can't Track Headset". I tried it on an old pc with old software and worked great, but once I updated the software, it couldn't track anymore. Please make an option for us users to be able to go to an older version of the oculus software, that way when a update comes out that breaks the headset, we have a way to still play.

It didn't work properly since 1.17 and still hasn't been fixed in 2.0 beta.
Every time you attempt open the application, you are forced to sit through the safety video, and the setting to turn it off never sticks.
Same with allowing 3rd party apps.

I would really like a master list of the controls and a button map. I am not always sure if I'm missing a feature or doing something wrong because not all functions are obvious.
How do I use right-mouse button with left-right agnostic touch controls?
Is there a way to click middle mouse button on touch?
Are there gestures or combinations of buttons to keyboard/mouse functions?
Separately, I really want a way to remap buttons on my touch controls to make the most of the buttons available.

I don't like that the Oculus software will download updates in the background any time it wants, even when the app isn't open. The developers seem to assume that no one does anything with their PCs other than play Oculus games. But I could be playing a non-VR or non-Oculus game when it starts a download, or I might need my full internet bandwidth for something else. Stopping the service is an effective workaround but this is tedious and requires unofficial addons like Oculus Tray Tool or batch files.
Steam already works the way I want - it does nothing unless the Steam app is actually running. And when you start up the Steam app it immediately queues all available updates, rather than scheduling them at random times.
