Context : Iuse my Quest in a room, and my PC is in the next room, but sometimes I want to use my PC to check something for seconds with passthrough. Right now, when I step out of my room, Guardian is not happy and asks me to get in it, so I always have to reset Guardian everytime I step out of my play room because otherwise, if I'm out of the Guardian area for too long, the screen goes black, forcing me to remove my headset Suggestion : What I think would be great is to have a button, when you leave your Guardian space, to **"Temporarily disable Guardian until you reenter the play area"** even if it comes with a big warning saying that it's not recommended to do so

It would be great to have a "laydown mode" so you can watch whilst laying in bed or on a recliner. I think this idea is way overdue for Quest 2.

Hello there. New and happy customer here ( Meta Quest 2 ), and as skimmed through some of the posts already here. Some ideas that def need reinforcing and hopefully implemented. Most are Software, but some Hardware ones in here~ VR headset now can eliminate the need of screens for PC almost perfectly, some kinks to be worked out. -Option to Toggle between Full VR and Pass Through Mode within options ( this would help so it can be used as an Semi Augmented Reality Glasses in it's current form ) -Guardian Expansion ( say not just Simple Desks but say L shape Desk or more then one Desk handled ) -Keyboard and Mouse Tracking / Options for Tracking accessories -Battery Capacity / Sufficient Charging through DATA Cable. -Able to Boot up Windows ( or other OS ) using the VR headset as a Monitor for PC's ( or other Systems eventually ) An VR headset is cheaper then a large screen or TV, and if can be a device you can swap out directly make it even more competitive on the market, and quick a much higher demand, not just for entertainment at home, but work too possibly in a much more streamlined fashion. Using a VR Headset also saved on energy bills, burns less electricity then a large screen do or even a smaller one and still allow the user have 100 inch super screens virtually ( If their PC can handle that that is ) So some Mouse / Keyboard designed for VR be nice to have too. These VR's have potential, and we just started scratching the surface, and can do so much more!

The quest pro controllers are Bluetooth linked. Modify the oculus app to allow the use of the pro controllers on legacy and outside equipment through the oculus pc app. It would allow you to sell more and make it work with windows mixed reality hmds as an alternative option to the hp reverb g2 controllers with poor tracking and allow something besides the valve knuckles or HTC wands to be used in pcvr while also saving the cost of valve or htc lighthouses. This would allow legacy equipment to be used and give people outside meta/oculus controller options as well. Don't think it would be too hard to setup given the app already exists and you can extend tracking to other devices with a simple calibration using the passthrough camera like you do now. Possibly something like arm straight and touch your headset for arm length.

I work at sea and when the ship moves the whole image in quest2 starts to move according to the movement of the ship, so in bad weather i cant even use it, is it possible to have a button to disable all those gyro sensors so i can watch netflix or similar services with out my screen jumping up and down. this would also be very effective on airplanes and when riding as a passenger in a car.

I own a Meta Quest 2 and, like many other, I am bedridden and in need of a solution to tilt my playspace 90° in order to face forward in virtual reality while I'm facing the ceiling in the real world. It is unacceptable that people with disabilities can't experience the beauty of VR (which could be extremely helpful for us in particular, much more than for every other people) due to the lack of a simple but yet fundamental feature in your software. And I'm not talking about the "reset view" feature already available in settings, that works only with menus inside your default virtual room, I'm not talking either of OVR Advanced Settings which gives such option BUT only on PCVR. I'm talking about TRUE NATIVE tilt/rotation of the ENTIRE playspace. We are in 2022, you claim to be very inclusive and then YOU COMPLETELY LEAVE BEHIND PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES? If you have no plans to implement such feature, give us at least a beta tool to accomplish the goal! It shouldn't be that hard to code it. This whole situation is simply unacceptable and this will backfire sooner or later, that's for sure. Now, PLEASE, reply to this message with an actual solution and not with the usual "company's apologises", thanks.

Please please add a disability options area in the options menu somewhere with universal overrides for things like, Player height, controller angle, controller offset X y z , My wife is disabled, she can't bend her hands properly and is quite short, she really struggles to play games on the quest but it's infuriating because it's such a simple fix. If we could change the direction the controllers are pointing like you can in beat saber (although individually not both controllers together) and adjust the player height so she seems taller than she really is, it would fix 90 percent of our issues, I don't understand how these aren't already options it's so obvious, they can be hidden away in a disability settings menu, but it's crazy that it doesn't exist as a universal setting that overrides or is applied before any game settings, imagine you want to aim a weapon but you can't turn your hand facing forward, such an easy fix with a controller angle setting.

I have to imagine there is some technical or financial reason this isn't already implemented since it is so obvious. But the biggest stumbling block to using the awesome potential of VR to get real-world things done on a computer is that you can't easily use any of the tools a computer is designed to use. Using an on-screen keyboard or joystick mouse is totally impractical for real-world work. I often imagine how great it would be to do all the cool real-world work things the fantasy world of VR comes up with but can't actually be done practically with VR tools. I want to be able to sit at my desk with a keyboard and mouse doing my boring accounting job, but do it waving my hands around like a fool as I move one of five spreadsheets to my left and the notepad to the right all the while watching a little purple dragon chasing a tabby cat under my sofa. Sure, my mind is damaged, but the point is, anything that can be done on the computer, including the boring stuff, can be done better, faster, and more fun in VR, if only I could see my gosh-darn keyboard and mouse. Seems to me the tech is already built in with passthrough and desk/couch/guardian. Come on, make it happen, combine the two. Think of the poor little purple dragons starving for attention. Unfortunately, I suspect the only reason something so obvious has not yet been implemented is because with passthrough it was likely designed as an all or nothing display. But to that I say, shame on you designers. Shame on you for designing such a terrific ability and falling just short of perfection. Cruel, cruel I say! 😉

Ingress (from Niantic) meets a Capture The Flag cybersec challenge. Essentially would play like a VR grand theft auto except focusing on various Ethical hacking or other things. Maybe Grand theft auto meets the matrix would be a better way to put it. The map is the real world. I can storyboard/write, and more if it helps get this into production.

I am a big fan of the glanceable boundary feature to orientate myself easily, however, I find it way too sensitive currently so it will often appear when I am not meaning to activate it. It would be nice if there was a way to adjust the sensitivity like how the guardian sensitivity can be adjusted.

Hello! I really hate seeing passthrough on my quest 2, and apparently passthrough loves me, cause I had an issue where it would show passthrough combined with a faded version of what I was seeing in vr. Fixed that issue, but I have a question. Could you make it so (especially on stationary boundaries) that instead of passthrough when leaving a guardian boundary, pop up a warning. Because some users sometimes leave their boundaries to make new ones, you could add a button labeled "guardian setup" that, when pressed, takes you to the familiar "return to play area" guardian popup. Because sometimes users may not see the popup right away, can you make it so it also makes tons of noise, so it is clear that the headset doesn't like the user leaving their guardian. And instead of using passthrough for stationary boundaries, make it so both the popup and noise slowly fade in. Thanks!

Can you just understand we don't need any avatars in Meta Quest TV app ! These are linear stories which don't need any interaction. But we try to explore with real images the whole 360° universe... Your ridiculous low faceting avatar, has nothing to do there ! Thank you for your help to remove it from Meta Quest TV app.

This is the parent of oculus account, I set up my child’s account and set the pin believe it or not but as the parent I am the one who says which game they are allowed to play and do not want my Facebook account associated with the oculus. There should not be requested parent permission when a responsible parent was the one to set all this up, I already paid a lot for the head set, jumped through hoops to get it connect to their own Facebook, which is what I’d didn’t want to do. Put their age on, had to block the stupid internet browser with the pin I the adult created, now I have to deal with certain game they might not be allowed to play. The pin is so I have the control of what is being done on the head set and I should not have to give permission with my own account. Please fix this because my child should have to wait to play a certain game when I am the one paying for it, they don’t have money to just buy games when they feel like it. I the parent have to be ok with what they are getting already, no more hoops. When they are not under age, they will have a job to do what they want until I am already monitoring what is being done on the account. Thank you.

Moving from rift s (pcvr) I'm used to being able to continue talking to friends on discord while in the pass through (whilst getting a drink, repositioning etc). However, with the quest 2 if I activate pass through or leave the guardian area, all audio is muted.

Adding sofa/desk to the virtual home environment feature is really great but why can’t we add more than one? It would be great to have that option so we could feel home more! Thank you!

I have Meta Quest 2. My play space is ok, but not too big. So i make the blue Guardian grid allways visible to make sure i will not hit anything. This is an awesome solution to protect my assets, but when a object from a game or experience is inside the play area, the grid appears over it, what is strange because in this situation the grid is behind the object. This generates a really bad sensation that hurts VR experience. Is it possible to make the grid covered by game objects that are inside the play area? Or at least an option that lets you turn this on and off. This will make the experience, of who have the Guardian grid allways on, a lot better.

Hi, Can the quest 2 please have some filter on it that filters young people to play together? There are so many sub 13 year olds in the games, and it would be good if people could be matched with our own age in games instead of kids. I feel very unsafe and uncomfortable playing certain games with someone so obviously young. Either that, or make an option to block incoming audio for people under the age of 18 so that, at least we wont know. Thanks CoBon
