At present on the Meta Quest it's not possible to place a passcode lock on an individual account without requiring that passcode to be entered when the headset is next switched on. This is a significant issue where a headset has been purchased for shared use by a household with separate accounts for members of the household: it means that either i) no-one else can use the headset when the person with the passcode protected admin account is not present or ii) the admin account is accessible by other members of the household (not ideal when this effectively provides access to your Facebook account, especially where younger members of the household are involved!). The security functionality needs to be updated to allow users to separately toggle passcode protection for individual accounts vs passcode protection for the entire device.

On the Quest 2, multitasking has been removed while in a VR application. I understand that this may have adverse affects on performance, hence its removal. However, I used this feature regularly, literally every time I used my Quest. If it can’t be mainstream due to performance issues, would it ever be reimplemented in developer mode at least? Id like to request the ability to have the browser in game while the meta menu is closed. Whenever I try to use like discord for example my calls drop 15-20 minutes after closing the menu, which is really annoying because I'm part of a vrchat roleplay group and one of our things is we have to always be on a voice channel mid call. Or just give us discord VR lol

Hi everyone, I've noticed discussions about enhancing VR experiences for those with low vision, particularly by addressing current limitations. I propose introducing a touch menu featuring a built-in magnifier tool. This concept, inspired by the interface in No Man's Sky, would utilize a virtual block hovering about the left hand in VR. With the righthand controller in VR, the block could be tapped to open up a selection of tools including a magnifier. The magnifier could allow users to magnify any element within their VR environment, aiding visibility. Additionally, incorporating adjustable settings for colorblind users and high contrast options would further enhance accessibility. Such a tool would not only be a practical solution for current gaps in VR but also significantly reduce the challenges faced by many users, including myself. In the explore menu I keep seeing a whole column dedicated to the people app. I don't want to see suggested people to follow, or any other social feed. Can we have an option to remove the "people" app from the device or otherwise hide this useless waste of space in the explore menu?
I have tried clicking the X next to all the suggestions but it just keeps putting new names there, but I want to make it stop suggesting new people. I do not have a FB acct so that's not it.

I'm noticing now via the App that my referrals don't show who I sent them to and they used to. I only have 4 lifetime referrals and one was just accepted so I earned $60 credit but I have no idea who accepted it and bought a new Quest. This is kind of a stupid change because we should be able to know who accepted our referral.

Am I missing something? When I searched I’ve found lots of people asking for timers/alarms so they don’t lose track of time. Sure, we can keep checking clocks IRL, but that kills the vibe of VR. We have two 14 yr olds and a 13 yr old. I try to schedule things between them to not only have healthy limits, but for my sanity when discussions inevitably come up about who is on for how long. It would be brilliant if it interacted with the app so you can see how long you were in particular apps. However, just an in game timer would be a game changer (heehee). It could easily be added to the fitness pop up Soooo - is it an option Im not seeing, or is it like casinos where the hope is you’ll use the product more if you don’t know the time?

I am developing a program for Meta Quest2. I would like to use hand tracking to control something like an electric pipette. The electric pipette has two buttons, one for sucking liquid and one for spitting liquid, which are operated with the index and middle fingers, respectively. I am thinking of using “Hand Grab Use”, but I am not sure how to operate them with the index and middle fingers separately. I thought of referring to WaterSpray.cs, but this sample seems to use the posture of the index finger. How should I implement this if I want to press separate buttons with the index and middle fingers?

Hello all, thanks for finally enabling a full passthrough in the menu, it helps a lot. Now to make this experience perfect for advanced users we need to be able to disable the guardian if we want when we are using the passthrough mode. The logic is simple, since we are looking at the real world, we don't really need a guardian for our safety if we want to. Advanced users will thank you. Cheers

For Meta Horizon, this is an app suggestion, not sure it's the correct venue but anyways. VR Chat doesn't require controllers, and neither does Meta Horizon on the mobile app. So Why does Horizon force me to use controllers on the Quest? I am using Meta Quest 2 by connecting an external battery, and in this patch, a connection sound is made when connecting to USB power, so it sounds whenever the connection is intermittently disconnected. Very annoying. Please add a feature so that I can turn off that feature.
