Your recent demand that all social users engage through Facebook is a bad decidion. I will not allow my children to be exposed thru Facebook so you can make a few pennies in marketing kickbacks. We will never participate in an Oculus social media again and I will actively campaign online against you from this point on.

I would like to see a feature to lock windows in the field of view while in pass through. This should be doable with headset tracking. I often like to do chores while using the headset and having to stop what I’m doing, resize a window and drag it with me every time I move to another room could be improved.

Hi Quest users, and Meta staff! I know that for security reasons apps canno access camera and ToF sensor data, i understand this decision, and I find it reasonable, but... Can we get app from Meta or additional mode in camera app that will allow us to scan objects or enviroments and export point cloud data, preferably to PCD format from Point Cloud Library for external use? It is such a shame that we have this limitation, when Quest 3 has stereo RGB cameras and ToF sensor Regards

Just add a button for smooth UI follow mode It should just follow head direction and position. So all application will just automatically be supported. We are waiting for a long time for it. We want to do daily routine watching Instagram or YouTube or browsing. And better to have free app positioning in this mode to place it in any view corner and any size while using passthrough

Remote display beta app requires a few things to make it the perfect productivity tool for remote workers Allow keyboard and mouse control via headset bluetooth peripherals either stop the gaze cursor from greying out the display or make the gaze cursor inactive whilst in a remote display enable multiple desktops including virtual desktops, as in workrooms Allow the displays to float in the VR environment without having to be in the quest menu Remember the last resolution and position of displays Provide a camera passthrough portal to view the physical keyboard With all of this in place people can use it to remote work in perpetuity.

While this is a minor issue, I am always in frustration when I am unable to delete photos from the Meta Quest App itself. This would be a very useful and helpful quality of life improvement!

I wish we had more guardian options, e.g. opacity level, only the line/border on the floor (without the surrounding grid), distance threshold/tolerance settings for grid/border activation and a radius setting for the stationary circle (its a little bit too narrow by default).
My play space is big enough to move a few steps in every direction, but when swinging in beat saber or point my arms forward in space pirate Trainer the guardian comes up to eagerly.
Thanks for consideration!
You guys rock btw 🙂

I'd like the ability to customize the home environment in Quest, personalizing it to my tastes.
Best case scenario, I'd like to see the same home functionality seen on Rift, possibly with cross compatibility.
If that's not technically possible though, then perhaps a less complex environment, or perhaps predefined 'skins' developed by the UX team.

It would be nice if I could make the guardian barrier bigger while playing seated games. If Iâm sitting in the middle of a room in a rotating chair Iâm capable of fully extending my arms without hitting anything, but the guardian system is often activated. If I set the guardian to roomscale, then sitting doesnât work well for some games as they now require me to stand and move around more.

With there now being at least 3 main ways to connect to PCVR from the headset (Quest Link, Virtual Desktop & Air Link) I have all 3 installed myself, how about allowing users on the main screen which has a Quest Link launch button to be able to define which method of PCVR then runs when that button is pressed ? Currently I prefer to use Steam's Air Link but this has changed in the past as one has gotten better than the other. Doing this would make the user interface a bit more user configurable.?

When watching movies you can often still see your virtual hands even when they are resting on your lap or in your periphery, which is really distracting. It should stop tracking and showing your hands when they haven't moved for a few seconds and are in your periphery. I find myself accidently clicking things or bringing up video track bars because of this.

Hi there Metaquest. Please can you find a way to allow casting from a childs account? We have bought the Metaquest 3 specifically for my 10 year old child, so he is the primary user, in fact the only user. I’ve set him up with a childs account so that he remains safe and can only access content appropriate to his age. But we can’t see what he is playing, which in my opinion is a safety concern as we can’t identify whether the content is appropriate for him. It’s also not helpful as he asks us questions about what he is playing and we can’t help or give him suggestions. Please, please, please can you find a way to allow casting from a childs account? Many thanks 😊

I do really enjoy the browser. It would be amazing to have the option to select a part of the screen saved as a JPG or PNG file, so I can copy it when e.g. writing an E-mail or just to see it later. Also to add add-ons would also be really useful to everyone.

What a horrendous marketing move.
You're basically telling everyone who bought the Quest 2 to go f- themselves. Too bad if you're an early adopter.
In addition, most of us who bought the Q2 can still refund it and get a new one cheaper, and with a free game.

Rift CV1 owners are concerned at the recent decision to stop selling the Rift CV1 accessories only 6 months after the sale of the last headset. Of particular concern is the lack headset cable which is probably the most fragile component. The expectation that we should buy a whole new headset if this $50 part fails is a major concern.
Many circumstances can occur outside of warranty conditions like
* pets can chew this cable
* accidental twisting over time fatigues the cable
* accidental falls can pull the cable from the PC
All these circumstances are not Oculus' fault and should not be handled under warranty. However the end user do have the expectation that they can repair a commonly failing part for their headset.
Consumer rights in the USA are very weak and favour companies over consumers. However in the EU, Australia and New Zealand the laws state that spare parts should be available for a reasonable amount of time after the product is discontinued. 6 months is not very reasonable considering that most users have an expectation that PC components should last between 3-5 years.
Ref: https://www.consumer.vic.gov.au/products-and-services/problems-with-a-product/cannot-be-repaired
A survey of 250 Oculus users seems to suggest that most Rift owners expect to get approximately 4-5 years from their headset

Source of results can be found in comments for above image.
Many of us understand that this cable was possibly being made by a third party who has made the decision to no longer supply them to you. However you made the design decision to go with a proprietary cable so unfortunately the onus is on you to abide by consumer laws and will have to either make freely available design specifications and connector patents so a 3rd party can make them or source a new supplier for this cable so you can sell it yourself.
Your quality end user support compared to other VR headset vendors has earned you a great reputation in the VR community in recent years. This quality support has definitely helped accelerate the growth of your marketshare with as Oculus owners recommend your headset to family and friends based on how good your after market support is. Please don't tarnish this reputation and abandon the early adopters that have helped to grow your ecosystem. We want to remain Oculus customers but it becomes the standard that headsets (including the Rift-S) will be abandoned 6 months after the product is discontinued from sale many of us will have second thoughts about buying future Oculus products as well as using the Oculus store.

To get netflix VR app updated you have to go to netflix website and request changes. Spoke with a representative about how I would enjoy being able to watch shows with my friends who also have the app. And with higher picture quality. They responded if the general public wants that they need to ask us for it.

HiI have a unique and innovative idea for meta quest+ subscription. First, make the subscription give you games for free, but they will be only games that do not have an ending, such as eleven table tennis, demeo, ghosts of tabor etc, so that the customer has a reason other than temporary to subscribe. Then set an option to add games to your subscription at a reduced price, and this option will be for games that have an ending For example, a game priced at $30 can be added to your subscription for $7, and this amount will be separate from the subscription amount for Meta Quest+. When the subscription ends, you will not be able to access your free games, nor even the games added to your subscription at a discounted price. But when you renew it, they will all be available. I am sure that after implementing this idea, there will be no unsubscribed user. This will be a great move for Meta Quest+ subscription

I propose enhancing Meta Quest's functionality to prioritize broad seamless sharing, akin to Apple's Universal Links, to facilitate the widespread dissemination of awesome Quest apps and content. Share buttons would be available for all Quest apps, content files, meetings, and more (like on iPhones). This will increase the use of the Quest, as people try (free) apps and content that are shared with them (from friends, news, etc.) For instance, imagine clicking on a VRChat meeting link received via email on your Quest Email app and seamlessly launching the VRChat meeting directly on your headset, much like how Zoom meetings open on iPhones from emails. Furthermore, users should be able to easily share immersive Quest app content via URLs across various platforms such as emails, messages, news, (Facebook VR) posts, tweets, ads, links from videos and webpages, fostering virality among friends, coworkers, clients, students, audiences and beyond. This includes sharing a wide range of content URLs such as for VR meeting apps like VRChat meetings*, YouTubeVR videos**, Disney VR experiences, virtual reality tour meetings, VR school lessons, game tournament events, productivity meetings, 360 video events, apps/games themselves in the store, and 3D advertisements. After clicking on links to such experiences, those links would later be available in a history list, in addition to the ability to save them as “Lookmarks” (ex. into folders). Links in Quest link history and Lookmarks can easily be re-shared again with anyone using any and all of the sharing platforms described above. I believe that enabling such a complete sharing infrastructure on Meta Quest, similar to Apple's Universal Link approach, coupled with an abundance of free content and advertisements, will significantly boost activity and traffic within the Metaverse. *Here is an example of how VR Chat (and Horizon Worlds) could open a meeting in the Quest directly from a Quest email link: Join VR Chat Meeting https://meeting.vrchat.com/j/245666445655?pwd=446754345 **Here is an example of a link that can virally share and open a YouTubeVR video directly on Quest from Quest Email: https://www.YouTubeVR.com/watch?v=gw4AuT2PD35 If YouTube VR experiences can go viral, there will be more quality time with the Quest. Someday there will be a substantial collection of Disney 180 3D experiences (like in YouTubeVR), that will attract and inspire people to use the Quest more, as the best experiences are easily shared throughout the world. Thank you for considering this idea of Meta Sharing. Perhaps Meta and its apps and games will enjoy a significant boost in activity and traffic due to a URL sharing infrastructure. Once Meta Sharing is here, VR will really take off! (the same way iPhone apps and content went viral).
