integrate sideloaded 2D-apps better in your ui, let us pin them to taskbar etc.

as long as you have no google-appstore, sideload 2d apps is the only possibility to get 2d android apps to quest.
there are many important apples like spotify or netflix that enhance the usefullness of the standalonde hmd greatly.

but they are treated differently than meta-store apps or app-lab apps.

this sidloaded apps cannot be pined down to the taskbar and if you close them, maybe by accident, you have to go to unkown sources and scroll through an ancient looking list.

if you claim to be an open system (not like apple), here is an area where you can improve (also in enabling devolber mode in an easier way) and treat this sidloaded 2d apps better.

Yes exactly, Zuck has said he wants to be the open company. Then things like sideloading need to be supported more.
