I tried using Quest2 again after 2 days of rest, this time using it for about 15 minutes, with night mode turned on, and the brightness adjusted to the lowest, it still caused my eyes to hurt, I am pretty sure using Quest2 will cause my eyes to hurt, if there is no solution , I consider will no longer be used

I have the same problem! The brightness causes me to get a headache after 20 mins of playing. META PLEASE ALLOW FOR A LOWER BRIGHTNESS!!!

It's eye searingly bright, so bad that you cannot watch videos without the excessive glare and eye discomfort. Oculus Quest 1 did not have this issue at all. Movies are unwatchable because of this. I have it at the zero brightness setting and it's still insane.

Officials don't seem to take this issue seriously.

It's utter;y unusable - and I am far from the only person that has this issue. It's a huge bug...

I have already experienced VR and sold the QUEST2, and I sincerely do not recommend it to my friends.

I agree with everything typed here.  The brightness is still to bright on the lowest settings after the new update, even when playing a short time.

Quest 1 did also have that problem although it was better from the start and there was a handy app/apk from a guy named "tycotech" that let you inside the main brightness settings as in a smartphone. This apk doesn't work with quest2 for some reason. With those settings enabled it was a joy to use and never ever experiencing eye strain which can if not properly monitored cause permanent eye damage.

So i'd say it's a big a hit and a miss from Facebook/Meta to not include such brightness slider which could really make the screen darker as for each users own comfort level. The current slider is crap and is almost no difference in the the minimum or maximum position. In each position it's bright.

I can't find any Idea, that has to do with this post (we want the darkest brightness-level darker!) but if I hit search, I get this post and I got here over google also ... it's a very wide spread issue. Is some conclusion planned for the future? What's the problem? Is this the minimal brightness possible by the leds? Isn't it possible to disable the background-light at all because background and pixel-dots are the same technique? Thanks for any help! Especially from ppl. with migraine
