I'm FREAKING OUT! Invited a gaming tech guru and a game producer friend over for dinner to discuss my game and get some tips. I learned that I'm STILL not ready to show a producer for help with time frames and budgets. The only feedback I received was notes on my narrative (which I'm not taking b/c I realized I didn't explain it well enough).
What's missing is my script for Chapter 1 so I can get the full list of assets. Luckily, I've laid out the structure of the script and the choices the player can make. Now I'm just trying to write a full narrative script around the "lesson" to make it fun. Plus I need it for the list of assets/environments I'll need to have created for my budget.
I'm also planning to work on the presentation, by basically making my GDD "pretty" in a presentation. Finally combine the documentation and the Pinterest collected images. I'm not sure I'll have any concept art created b/c I don't have any money to pay anyone.
Just got our Samsung Camera and might use this in the demo as well, so hoping that is useful.
Good luck! Using the Samsung Camera might be a good way to quickly get ideas in VR, even if it's just mock up. Maybe something like the Sweded films from the Michel Gondry film Be Kind, Rewind in terms of lo-fi resourcefulness.
