This was one of those weeks full of things to do and a lot of work done, but nothing completed. This is why I like the blog posts because it makes you think of what you have accomplished even when there isn't a complete product to show for it. 1- I started working on the container app for my 360 video sample. Nothing to show for it yet, but we are on our way. This is out of my comfort zone, since I see myself more as a filmmaker / storyteller than a developer. But I don't hesitate stepping out of my comfort zone when necessary, so it's all good. 2- I put some work in my proposal, you know, the written part. Still need to work on it some more, but it's good to sleep on it, and be able to get back to it. 3- My sample video shoot...I already have some test footage I was working with, and I didn't love it. So I have a new shoot scheduled on September 2nd. That's right! It's a little nuts to come so close to the deadline, but that's the best I can do. So wish me luck and patience through some sleepless nights. 4- Mettle and I are friends. I have been working on some tutorials, and I am not all the way through, but as I said, we are friends. 5- The office hours this week was very helpful. In fact, once the office hour conference ended some of us stayed on and continued to hash out some issues. I appreciated the concrete tips and advice, but I appreciated the spirit of collaboration, the camaraderie and the collegiality a little more. Pretty gratefful.
