Two arm Human with Live Planet 360 degree camera
We are one step closer to building a VR controllable humanoid robot designed to perform labor on
Earth and in space. Human™ is a unsophisticated robot - remotely
controlled using three parts (a VR headset, VR gloves, and VR tracking nodes)
to immediately globalize (or more so universalize) all job markets on Earth and
creating a brand new (and extremely valuable) labor market in space. The first position we programmed into the robot was of course, "Raise the Roof" 🙂

What job would you perform using Human? Twitter Poll (HERE)
To control the robot we live stream 360 video into Unity3D. The Ricoh Theta S latency was 240 ms in our first test (see image below). We have optimized that down to 125 ms since last weeks blog (LINK). Our long term production goal is 100 ms.
SpaceVR estimates that the potential market for labor augmentation and automation is $250B. Human will benefit from both the growing virtual reality market and the extremely well established labor market. Walmart alone employs 1.4 million people and we could augment / replace at least 280,000 of their employees with our MVP. As we collect video and data from EVERY action performed by Human, we will start to fully automate simple jobs (like stocking shelves and scanning items). The large number of Human robots deployed will form a hardware network that will create and store the biggest and most valuable data set ever created.
