Week 4: Oculus Launch Pad (Due July 16 Midnight) AG

Week four seemed like it came and went so quickly. I didn't get a chance to do much work this week bc I need to rework the story.  Originally I was thinking of just a 360 vr version but I really want to make it more engaging and interactive. So thankfully the Perception Neuron suits came in and my other developer Will can start some character demos. I'm working on trying to learn more Sound Tools since sound is a major component in the design of the peice. I've found a pretty cool audio system called HEAR 360 at a workshop this weekend that comes with the mic and software. Hoping to experiment with this soon. In the mean time I will have to buckle down and condense my story bc it's long and I want to make it interactive vs just playing a 360 film. My story may have to adjust which will require me locking down and retooling the action. So as of now I'm doing some basic demo elements and end of week finally will be able to share the perception neuron test now that the suits are in.

This week has been a whirlwind. I have a fabulous intern, who is helping me with unity. We have a very rough prototype, which tomorrow I'm going to test out with some kids, and see how they react. Very excited. Also, been working on deck, and finally feel it's in a place to show to folk. It has helped me process and finesse the idea, to a point where I feel it's come together. Had some great chats within the VR community, which have been positive. Slowly slowly, it feels like this is moving forward. 🙂
