Thanks! Is there a way to kick off a forced update? I deleted all the Oculus apps and downloaded again, but it is stuck on 2.31.0.9.0 (based in Japan in case this is relevant, although the development mobiles I received are from Hong Kong, so always download updates from China)
Not that I'm aware of (if deleting didn't work). The sideload build from the 3/14 post is a v3, so probably your best bet. Looks like the 3.0 rollout is taking slightly longer than expected (!!)
Hello again, I could side load the 3.0 Oculus Home app, but every time I open Home it detects an update is available and downloads Oculus Home (China) which downloads version 2 again. Do I need to replace Gear VR Setup Wizard to download the correct Oculus Home version? Or any way to stop it downloading the (older) update?
Thank you. In the meantime, I just inserted a Japanese sim card and did a factory reset. So far so good - Gear VR Setup Wizard connected to the right server and downloaded the non Chinese Oculus Home application. I could then side load the version 3.0 from the 3/14 post and it works. Seem the Gear VR Setup Wizard uses the sim card to determine which server to contact for the Oculus Home download. However, if I remove the SIM and open Home again, the Chinese Home version gets automatically downloaded again...
Not sure if you guys are tracking this, but just wanted to give a heads up that I as well wasn't getting the new version when I removed the sideloaded version.
