When the phone is not in the Gear VR (game is running in Development Mode), I experience a slow rotation of the view towards the right, even though the phone sits steadily on its longer edge, unmoved. This started to happen since I've updated to the latest OVR and / or accepted some of the many fixes that OVR Lint recommended to improve performance. The drift doesn't happen when game running in Gear VR but it's quite disturbing in Dev Mode as I need to recenter (pause-resume) the game every 10 sec to avoid the point of interest drifting out of view. It looks like a bug to me. Didn't have this issue before the OVR update / Lint fixes.
I appreciate your patience while I got back to you. Regarding this and the OVR Lint issue that you posted here in another thread, have you attempted to update to the newest version of Unity?
This is the first step I would recommend in isolating the various issues that you are experiencing as bug fixes are constantly being implemented. If you are still experiencing these same issues after the Unity update, please update this thread and we will look further into this. Thanks.
Hi @InnerExodus Okay that makes sense and I'd have already done that, but I can't for the moment as I have just a few weeks till the release of my game. So I think I'd make more trouble for myself by having to fix anything broken by the update then enduring the above bugs. These bugs don't directly affect my game - in case they are indeed bugs. I will of course come back and update the thread in the future when I make the leap to Unity 5.6. Thanks for the help!
