Now that Note 7 and new Gear VR have USB-C with data transfer capacity, would it be possible to use HOTAS / joysticks / steering wheels with Gear VR ?
I assume Android or Mobile SDK would have to have a driver (and then Unity and UE4 would need to add support) for those devices. So it probably wouldn't work out of the box.
The question is if Oculus would be willing to persuade some peripherals manufacturers to help with support of their hardware for Gear VR.
While I am not a big fan of driving/flight sims on PC, I definitely see myself playing those with Gear VR and using proper input devices would be a major factor of attraction (besides VR itself of course).
