Unity Splash image split in 2 Latest 4.6.2f1. Unity Free.

Hello all,
A while ago my unity trial run up (4.6.1), and in that time I didn't changed that splash image setting.
Then I updated Unity to the latest 4.6.2f1. (release notes says this is fixed) but i still see the unity logo split in half. That setting its greyed out as: Center (only scale down).
I tried deleting preferences, reinstalling Unity, a new project and scene. Didn't helped.
Any Ideas ?
On a Mac in case that matters.

Unity released a patch recently that was SUPPOSED to have resolved this (http://www.reddit.com/r/GearVR/comments/2sil4s/unity_461p4_patch_release_fixes_loads_of_oculus/), but even after installing the patch I'm also still getting the split logo and the the option to change the splash is still grayed out.

I've just upgraded to 4.6.2 and I'm still getting the split splash image. I really wish someone could tell me how to resolve this.

The Unity patch was actually on the PC side, not yet on mobile.

That is very frustrating to hear considering that the staff reviewing my Gear VR submission told me "The splash screen is not in stereo. You need to update to Unity 4.6.2 and one of the fixes is a VR-friendly splash screen."

So is the official word that Oculus will not be approving any Gear VR apps made with Unity free any time soon?

I think thats more on the Unity side to fix.
I guess it's just a mater of time.

Hopefully this will be fixed. I just don't know how soon this can happen.

I can ask the team whether we can allow mobile apps built in Unity Free for the time being.

No work-around right now, but it's something we're looking into.

Any new info about this? (no stereo splash screen here on Gear VR with Unity 4.6.5p1 and ovr mobile sdk 0.5.1)
