Unity VR - How to change Head Neck Model now that rendering is taking care of by Unity

I'm working on Unity 5.5
inside OVRCameraRig in the UpdateAnchors function:
Changing the parameters or just bluntly commenting all positional and rotational code in that function does not make a difference in rendering. (i can see the cameras in the IDE changing location when i change the code but the rendering seems to be taken care of by some other camera. (unity's native VR implementation?)

Long story short, i can't seem to change head,neck modeling for some exotic feature i want.

Any help?
