I purchased so many Oculus Go games and apps some games are very impressive and I spend some good time and progress with them. But since I have to try some new games or apps before finish those my 32GB running slow on storage space.
Uninstall games is not a problem but lost on progress or save does. It would be great if Oculus implement cloud backup or at least cloud file transfers. That should be dropbox if they have good relationship or google drive.
Also if need I think I can backup to computer via USB cable but cloud save would be a lot better.
Cloud saves are available on the platform, however it requires the game to support it. It's not an automatic thing. I'm not sure how many games on Go use cloud saves but I remember on Rift it was not a huge number. However, you can connect Go to a PC and backup the saved games to your computer. The folders are like:
Android/data/com.DEVELOPER_NAME.GAME_NAME
If you look in that folder, there should be 2 folders (maybe more) like cache and files. Usually the saved games are in the files folder, but the naming and folder structure is unique to each game. You can probably just backup the whole parent folder (meaning "com.DEVELOPER_NAME.GAME_NAME") and then paste that back into the same location after reinstalling the game later. That said, I only tried this on one game, so I can't say for sure it works for every title.
