The view on my oculus go is now like looking into a box. It no longer looks like vr the sides are black, the screen is square please help me.

I never dropped it I took it off the charger the other day and now it does not look immersive. It’s hard to explain but it’s like looking into a tv there is a black outline around the screen.

There are quite a few reports of this happening on the Gear VR (over a 3 year period) - i've never seen a solution, or any comment by cybereality on those threads either.
