I usually save several different stages of each sculpt I make, but since the last update I'm unable to use the "save as" option to save the sculpts under different names.
I can type in a new name on the virtual keyboard, but hitting enter takes me to the save sculpt window where the save button/icon is greyed out and does nothing. I have plenty of free space on my drive, and I reinstalled Medium in case anything was corrupted, but the issue persists.
Hey @thoiter, "Save as" is no longer! It's just "Save" now and if you want to replace a sculpt with a newer version, just pick the sculpt in the asset browser and it will populate the file name box with the old sculpt and ask you to confirm saving over it.
The Save button/ icon is greyed out for saving new sculpts when you haven't chosen a location to save it. You can click "Sculpts" for it to save in your My Documents/Medium/Sculpts folder, or you can save it anywhere else on your PC.
Thanks for the reply. So am I correct in thinking that we can now only have a single save of any particular sculpt, and saving several versions of a sculpt in various stages is no longer possible? If so, could I ask what the reasoning is behind this decision? And why does a "save as" option still appear in the menu?
You can still save multiple versions of the same sculpt - you just need to change the sculpt name to an increment. You can do this by clicking the +1 button on the right side of the keyboard.
