Feature request - decimation preview at export

Hi Oculus devs. Medium is awesome with the new export options. There are two things that would make it perfect:

  • the ability to preview the decimation and tweak the poly count before exporting
  • a sharpness setting (or something similar) to stop the export trying to make tiny polys on the edges between flat areas of a model

I'm using Medium as the first stage in my pipeline for creating low-poly assets (trees, rocks etc.). This means I'm usually exporting at around 300 polys or so. At this level even a small change in the amount of polys can mean the difference between getting odd artefacts (too few polys) or having to do too much edge and small face cleanup (too many).

Agreed, this would be an *extremely* handy feature, one that is present in most other design programs

I don't see the point - your poly count is displayed and as you add resolution to the SDF you get a pretty good idea of the output. IMO

+1, the ability to preview decimation output easily would be very helpful.
