Figured I'm hardly qualified for the "First Sculpts" thread any more and, tbh, I kinda like that being for first sculpts so I figured I might as well make my own sketchbook vanity thread like they seem to do everywhere else that 3d modelling and forums collide.

I'll post my crap in here. You guys can look at it and chuckle and hopefully start your own thread so's I don't feel like I'm the only attention whore in the place!

That's  intriguing.  Strikes me as somewhat of a mythological being, or a ram/bull god with buffalo form.  Favorite part so far is the eye area and the muscle mass between the front shoulder and the back (side view) .  Does seem to have a bit of an aggressive posture, but it seems to be that way naturally.  The eyes are calm, although serious.  Has character.

Learned a new trick with this one. I sculpted the name tag in medium, baked it onto a plane in blender and then used the normal map as a stamp in substance painter. Hair, necklace, shoes and zipper modelled/simulated in blender, all the rest is medium. Rendered in Cycles.

That's top drawer work pal , real good. What technique's going on with the uniform , pure sculpted  ? , excellent folds n creases. How with the fabric grain texture dude ? The head sculpt is on point  also , very tidy.

@InkyTheOctopus Cheers, mate. Uniform and pose was done on a makehuman basemesh in Marvelous Designer. Transferred to Medium via Blender, detail sculpted, back into Blender for retop and unwrap then Substance Painter for the colouring in. Shirt fabric was from Substance, as was the tiny little stuff on the face.

A cool trick with Marvelous Designer is to hang onto the export mesh It's a bit janky with tris - but the unwrap is perfect flat pattern pieces. Means any pattern will follow the folds and creases perfectly.

Did a showreel...
