Add Google Earth VR to the quest Games and Apps

Google Eart VR is a great way to unwind and relax. However it has not been added to the newest generation of technology. National Geographic is a GOOD app however it is slightly restricted which puts Google Earth VR in the the lead. It NEEDS to be added.

Google Earth VR is already available on the Quest..
however, it’s now called “Wander” and it’s no longer free.

Wander does not come close to Google Earth VR.  Unfortunately, no mobile devices out there currently have enough processing power to handle Google Earth VR.  Maybe one day.

You may be able to stream it via your PC and SteamVR but then it's not really mobile.
i9 13900K water cooled, RTX4090, Z790 MB w/wifi6e, 64Gb 6400 ram, 2x2TB SSD, 1000W PSU, Win 11, QPro, Q3, w/Link and Air Link, Vive Pro1 with 2x2.0 base stations, Etsy lens mod and Index Controllers

I think @TomCgcmfc is right, this is a limitation of mobile computing.

I can run GE on my tablet but it's a bit of a stutter fest and translated to VR with the added pixel count, stereo viewing and frame rate requirements, would be pretty much impossible to accomplish on any current mobile VR device.

I'm pretty sure GE isn't available on Google's own Daydream headset and they've mentioned in the past that they had to do a lot of optimisation to get it to run on PCVR.

Piece of cake & wonderful from my PC to the Quest via Virtual Desktop. I looked at the purchase price if VD as the cost of Google Earth. So for $20 i got Google Earth & a great virtual desktop app!

I would be fine with a lower res version of the globe/flying mechanic as long as the "street view" is in full res / high quality...

If the 3D buildings were still A thing even at a lower quality render I would be ecstatic.... And if it's free awesome... If not then I'll pay like 5 bucks for it.... I just want to be able to roam around foreign cities and then show it to a friend right next to me and not have to use a PC to "steam" it to the hmd...

I doubt very much that there will ever be a Quest version because of its relatively low processing power, ~10% of even a low end PCVR setup.  However, might be doable with the Quest Link and a decent PC.  I guess we will all know soon!

With Google ending Daydream, I don't think they have much interest in VR anymore.

It doesn’t do anything on my Quest, other than the three animated dots.
If I do it on my ipad though, then Google Earth launches, because I’ve got it installed.
