Air Link worse on new wifi6 than on wifi5

Hi,

today my new router arrived. Fritz!box 6660 cable with Wifi6 (ax).

I had already good playable sessions on my old kabelbox router model with only ac 5Ghz, but I needed to restart my router sometimes thus the quest 2 gets an IP and I was looking forward to optimize air link even more.

now the performance of the new router is terrible.

the quest 2 is listed in the router menu connected correct via 5Ghz wlan.

I give an extra name to the 5GHz wlan so it is exclusively for air link use.

the 5ghz wlan is set to use the ax wifi6 standard.

anyone had similar issues?

I will continue to test various settings, but right now I need a break because I feel heavy motion sick because of the jitter and stutter.

I think you might have just had an unfortunate coincidence because Air Link for me today has been unplayable on the same network I've had great performance on nearly every day.

I had a similar issue with AC wireless and my quest 1, my solution could help.  Check what channel your AX network is using, there are different bandwidths depending on which one you use: 20, 40, 80, and 160 mhz.  The fastest will be 160.

In my case I was using a lower bandwidth channel but as soon as I switched to the higher bandwidth remote desktop performance skyrocketed.  This is a picture of what the configuration looks like on my routerScreenshot 2021-05-28 151143 - Copy.png

I still have mixed bandwidth as you can see but if you're using that wireless network exclusively for your quest you can just set it to the highest bandwidth channel only.
