Anybody Tried Casting To Phone?

I've set it up, allowed it on the phone (iphone XR or something) but only get a black screen.  In the Quest it says casting to *** but as i say, just a black screen.

Just want to know if others have had it working ok, might well be my wifi (i assume it goes through the router, not direct?).

I've had Bogo cast from the quest to my Note 8 phone, it worked fine.

Casting worked fine on my iPhone X but I can’t help with your problem. Perhaps try restarting the phone.

Casting to my Android Galaxy S9 worked fine too.

casting to my samsung s9+ worked fine too.
you know it is casting when you see a red dot on the top right of your screen when in your quest.

have you tried to change from 2.4ghz to 5ghz? or tryed to go closer to your router?

OK thanks all.  I tried restarting phone.   It will be my wifi.  The router does dual frequency but is set to auto.  I'll be looking at it later.

It also depends what you’re trying to cast. Some apps, namely Beat Saber and Vader Immortal, won’t cast. I’ve cast my Go to my iPhone 6, but I haven’t tried it with the Quest yet.

Ah ok, it was primarily Beat Saber, i might have tried a couple of other things though.

The only app I've tried streaming so far was Vader Immortal and it worked on my S9

I haven't tried it yet on the Quest, but maybe give https://github.com/Genymobile/scrcpy a shot. It's an android app that lets you share the screen with a pc/mac (via usb or wifi). I've used it successfully with the Go, so Quest should work too.

It would probably bypass the Beat Saber casting block.
