Broken quest 2 elite strap

Bought the elite strap for quest 2 on 23/1/21  had for nearly 2 months . Noticed a split on right side and it then broke into two parts, poor quality,  Took it back to Argos with a full refund given . Don't recommend until problem is sorted.

Glad I got a refund as I didn't want another as the problem would happen again just like yours  , think they have extended the warranty on this product  . I'm looking at a cheaper version on Amazon , Well they all made in China lol.

It's a known issue. Oculus has compensated for it by increasing the warranty to two years for free.

Same issue, bought it on 16/12/20 just after they announced the problem was already fixed and resumed selling it. They sent old glitched ones??

That's what I got then.  I thought they would give you better replacements.  I had 2 break on me.

My elite strap that I bought after they reopened orders broke last week and I'm in the process of an RMA with them. It's a hassle since I don't have a way to print the return label and I have to bring it to UPS. If the replacement breaks after 3 months, this is just unacceptable. Am I supposed to go through the RMA process over and over again until the 2 years are up and then they'll tell me the warranty is expired so tough luck?

In my case of broken elite strap with battery, support sent me a new one without having to return the cracked. It might be because there are strict regulations to ship lithium-ion batteries by air and it's difficult for usual consumers to fulfill them. If it's not just an initial lot defect but a design problem, we would have to repeat this unproductive process every few months, anyway.

**bleep** that makes sense. Would have bought the one with battery if I knew it would save me the effort of mailing back broken straps for 2 years.

They asked me to see if Best Buy would give me the refund but it's over the 15 and 45 days for that.  I'll have to ask for a third Elite Strap with battery.  I don't trust them at all.  What 3rd parties have a strap with a battery?

Will try a rebuff vr reality power bank if I can get one  with 10,000mAh , 8 hours game play , 10 hours video streaming fitted to old strap or a similar power bank.  Will check more reviews but looks good
