I have had the oculus about a week. Yesterday my friend and I could hear each other talk through our headsets. And last week I could hear my granddaughter when we played mini-golf together last week - she lives 950 miles away. Today I can't hear my granddaughter in my headset playing that same game of mini-golf. Volume is up, I have no idea why the voice isn't coming through anymore. The white dot is to the right in the game so that should be ON. She could hear me, but I couldn't hear her. Sorry I need so much help.
Hey libby.adams.17! We see you're having some audio issues that are interrupting the fun with your granddaughter and we want to get you back on track. We have a few things you can check for that will help with this:
Does this issue only happen in the mini golf game? If so, check your settings and have your granddaughter check her settings within the game. In some games, you can adjust the voice chat audio.
Since your granddaughter can hear you and you can't hear her, plug in a pair of earphones to your headset to see if you can hear through those.
If the problem persists after you've tried these steps, try uninstalling the game and reinstalling it.

I have no idea how to reply, don't know how to send a private message or start a ticket. This spot is the only way I can respond. ....... This no voice also happened with my husband, trying Synth Riders playing in two rooms in our house, and no sound from our voices was heard in our headsets. The sound did work the other day and last week on mini golf as I stated, now no multiplayer voices are coming into the headsets on these two games, we haven’t tried any others.
On my The Climb issue that you wrote separately on, you said to please send us a private message or a support ticket. I don’t know how to do either of those things. I also had to google how to uninstall and reinstall a game! I really need more detailed instruction – where are the general instructions about the headset and the hands and controls!!! In the The Climb game, I uninstalled, reinstalled, there were no updates available, I soft rebooted (had to look that up also as I didn’t know how), and I went into the game. Same thing, gender and skin tone thing comes up and there is nothing I can click on – am I supposed to be able to choose on those things somehow??? Can’t do a thing. So I just started to go wild punching everything on my hand controls and all of a sudden I was in a welcome, tutorial thing where I chalked my hands and started to learn the game. Am I supposed to attach to the safety hook on the wall? If so, I have no clue how. NEED INSTRUCTIONS if the game ever will work right. So something is messed up, I never got to choose gender of skin tone. I quit the game and went back in and this time it booted up UPSIDE DOWN! The credits and logo were all upside down, or else mirror image, unreadable. Still the gender and skin showed up but I can’t click anything. PLEASE tell me what to do!!! Is this copy defective???

All is pretty good now. Figured out the headset voice issue. I think I can do the gender and skin tone, still a bit vague on what buttons to push, I think simultaneously, to do that, but it did happen once so I will figure it out, and still need to learn how to cast my fishing line out but will figure it out as I did do it a couple of times, am learning more on The Climb so maybe I will reach the top of the practice thing and actually go climb soon. So things are progressing!
