Casting???

I am trying to cast and record the casts. I connect between my headset and my iphone. I hear an echo of everything I am doing from my phone as I play in the headset. I use the Oculus button on the right controller and stop casting. I power off the headset. I go to my phone and nothing is recorded. During the casting time the red dot is on indicating I am recording. What is the mistake I must be making?

Don't worry we're here to help shed some light on your casting issues.

 

After doing some digging, we found this handy dandy Oculus support article that will act as a guide when Casting with Oculus Quest 2, Quest and Go.

 

Within the article there are some known issues that we want to bring to your attention: 

 

  • TVs with built-in Chromecast or other smart functionality may be supported, but compatibility cannot be guaranteed with all models.

  • You may experience issues when casting and recording simultaneously.

  • Exiting or minimizing the Oculus app may interrupt casting.

  • Casting may increase battery usage or degrade in-app performance.
