I just got a cable for oculus link after figuring out that the charging cable doesn't work. Tried it out on my desktop with Minecraft VR and it works! It was very fun, but I wanted to see if it would work off my laptop, for a bit more portability. Connecting the same cable to my laptop, windows seems to see the Quest, but the app won't connect to the quest, making it so I can't start oculus link. I know the cable works, and the laptop doesn't seem to have a problem with it, so I was wondering if there is anything else that could be stopping it?
There seems to be allot of users having issues with laptops and Thunderbolt 3. So if you’re issue is similar it’s best to have everyone posting to the same thread.
