Could / should Oculus release a Quest deluxe head strap?

The Oculus Quest is a truly magic device and so far exceeded my expectations in every respect. I am even very happy with the surprisingly good audio quality (which is some point for critique for others).

The only thing that bugs me is comfort. They tried to make it easy, pushing everything into the headset. Probably the right decision, but that makes it front heavy compared to the rift. It took my quite some fiddling to find out an adjustment that works for me.

Now, while the Quest would be a great device for showing it to friends and let them try, I refrain from doing so because I am afraid from having to re-fit it to different people and then having to find a good adjustment for myself again. I already found this to be terrible with the rift - despite me having markers on the straps, it always felt different after someone else had used it. Also with the rift I tried to avoid frequent adjustments for fear of breaking or wearing the audio ribbon cable.

With the Quest I am even more reluctant because it seems to be even more difficult to find a good strap adjustment. While the current strap might be great for transportability, the tricky adjustment defeats exactly this purpose: Taking it with you for showing it to friends.

I think Oculus could release some accessory strap, allowing easy quick - adjustment and providing more comfort. I'd be the first to try it.

What do you think?

The stock strap that came with the Quest was just killing me. Like cutting into the back of my skull painful type of killing me.

I just got an Vive Deluxe Audio Strap and did this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gOShKsjaHpU
Vive Deluxe Audio Strap
Velcro Strips
1" Velcro Tie Strap
~ 1 1/2" Metal D Ring (I got a square ring instead)

It holds great, but I'm going to be wrapping 2 small Velcro tie straps on each side just in case, tomorrow when I get them in from Amazon.

I personally need a bigger head strap because my dome is so big. The current length doesn't fit correctly.

My problem is the back of my flat head. The back of my head doesn't have a large arcing curve so the back slides up when I move so the headset drops just enough to make the screen blurry. So I have to tighten it some and it slides again. The strap is really not that well thought I feel. I got the studioformcreative strap and it made it worse for me. So now I hardly use my Quest and just play on my Rift. Thought the Quest would be fun for taking camping. You know, roughing it. lol. Guess I could watch movies on it still as I don't need to move.

I think what is really needed here is a counter-weight in the back. I have some ideas I'm going to implement, because I agree... this headset is quite amazing, but it does get uncomfortable after a long period of time.

People are using anything from a Batter Pack as a counterweight:

To a damn can of soup! lmao

If someone can confirm that the Velcro Strap helps, then let me know. I'll happily order one:

It helps with comfort and probably helps with weight distribution but I'd expect a counterweight to help more with that.
It took about a week to from ordering to get from NZ to UK.

I hope they just release a version of the Rift S halo design that works with Quest. The halo method has always been so much more comfortable to me.

My big noggin doesnt allow me to get the straps in the right position. Wish they would sell the halo band as an option.
